Write Girl
Visionary Women’s grant has enabled WriteGirl to support 400 primarily BIPOC teen girls and young adults, including LGBTQIA+ youth, through creative writing workshops and mentoring. Participants explored various literary forms, showcased their work in public readings, and earned prestigious awards like the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.
With this support, WriteGirl is on track to guide 100% of its high school seniors to college, many as first-generation students. The grant also facilitated vital college counseling, helping these young women prepare for higher education and future success.
