Aphrodite Camello
Aphrodite Camello is an actress, improviser, and writer. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband Mike and their daughter. Known for her comedic acting, Aphrodite has found a way to incorporate her drama training to ground herself in comedy. She studied Regional Theatre in the conservatory at Webster University and CSUN before being accepted into the conservatory program at The Second City Hollywood which culminated in a 12 week review entitled “Apathy Ever After.” It was here that she really found her comedic voice and learned how to use improv to write. In addition, Aphrodite has studied with G. Charles Wright in his Master Class, Scott Sedita in his Comedy Master Class, including a special Master Class with Brad Garrett, and at the Groundlings Theatre.
You’ve seen Aphrodite on NBC, TBS, CBS, MTV, and Nickelodeon. She has appeared in several tv, digital series, and films. Aphrodite is also involved in her family business, Kástra Elión Vodka- a premium sipping vodka distilled from olives with roots from her ancestral home
of Nafpaktos, Greece.
Off camera, Aphrodite is very involved in her community. She is an LA native and volunteers regularly with The Art of Elysium, bringing acting and writing to children’s hospitals, schools, skid row shelters, and the elderly. She is also an active member of the organization’s Host Committee for the annual Heaven Gala, which funds the entire year of the charity’s programming and is always a unique one night art installation, designed by a new visionary each year. Additionally, Aphrodite is an active board member of Share, Inc., a women’s organization founded by the wives of the Rat Pack in 1953 dedicated to funding Los Angeles based children’s organizations. She dances in the show at the annual Boomtown Gala, a longtime tradition alongside the ladies of Share and gives back to all the facilities they fund throughout the year.
