Patti Tanenbaum
Patti is an educator, Community Service-Learning leader, children’s book author, small business owner, wife, and mother. She is the Co-Author of 2 award-winning children’s books in the series Little Kids Do Big Things. The 3rd book, GOTTA HAVE HEART, will be released in the summer of ’22. The books emanate from a lifelong devotion to kids, with the dream they grow to be people who are good, caring, and giving to others.
Upon graduation from UC Berkeley and a newlywed, her first role was as an elementary teacher at The Dalton School in NYC. Along the way, she and her husband, of soon-to-be 55 years ( yes, she was robbed at birth ), raised three children. There were years of volunteer leadership/board participation and Co/Founding of and long involvement with the Community Service Learning Program (k-12) for Beverly Hills Schools. There’ve been awards and years of joy, happiness, and gratitude.
When her husband served as Mayor of BH for two terms, Patti was an in-house Political Consultant and event Planner and even rode atop a Rose Bowl float for Beverly Hills’ 75th Anniversary.
At the BH Maple Counseling Center, she facilitated school community circle meetings and enjoyed years of involvement with BOOKENDS .. Kids Helping Kids for Literacy, and the Co-Founding/Chair of the popular Scrabble Challenge Fundraiser.
Her loves are family, friends, writing, reading, politics and society/ global affairs, travel, and exercise, especially spinning. She heartily applauds the excellent opportunities Visionary Women provides.
